Czech Please, 2007-07-15 The restaurant is down by the river, past Palackého náměstí, on Plavecká. Not in the dead center of town, but easy to reach by tram. We'd been in this dining room before, when the space was occupied by Le Bistro de Marlene. It's been changed around quite a lot. The interior design, with green walls and tile floors, didn't thrill us so much. But we were there for the crustaceans.

Prague Spoon, 2008-05-07 A year ago, I gave this cozy Prague 2 Mediterranean restaurant a great review. The food was honest, the service intimate and friendly, and the prices more than fair. When friends asked me for restaurant recommendations, I’d name Oliva as one of the few dependable mid-scale restaurants in the city. Recently, after a long hiatus, I ate two meals there. The first was passable; the second was miserable. I wish I’d sent my friends someplace else. |
